Cirrus is made and sold by Meshal M, an independent developer in Kuwait. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean Meshal M, and “you” means you. By using Cirrus or buying Cirrus Pro, you agree to these terms.

The free version of Cirrus holds 3 notes and has every feature. Cirrus Pro removes the limit. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

On this site, Cirrus Pro is sold by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, handles tax, and sends your receipt, and Polar’s own terms apply to that transaction. On the Mac App Store, the purchase is made with Apple and Apple’s terms apply to it.

The two are separate ways to buy the same thing. A purchase in one does not carry over to the other.

If you bought Cirrus Pro on this site, you can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email contact@trycirrus.app from the address you bought with. Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Cirrus Pro is licensed to you for your own use on your own Macs. A license key bought on this site activates on up to three Macs. To move it, deactivate a Mac from the Pro pane in Cirrus’s settings. App Store purchases follow Apple’s rules for your Apple Account.

Please don’t share or resell your key, work around the license check, or redistribute the app.

What you write in Cirrus belongs to you. It stays on your Mac and in your own iCloud, as the privacy page explains. Cirrus is careful with your notes, but please keep backups of anything you can’t afford to lose. Export makes that easy.

I work hard to make Cirrus reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I can’t promise it will be free of bugs or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost profits, from using or being unable to use Cirrus. My total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Cirrus. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

I may update these terms as Cirrus changes. When I do, this page will show the new date. If you keep using Cirrus after a change, the new terms apply from then on.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. If something goes wrong, please email me first at contact@trycirrus.app. Most things can be put right with a reply.
